From the sellers..... 221 Brooks Place - what a wonderful home to raise a family!
Brooks Place is quiet with only the neighbours travelling down the
street. A hidden advantage of low traffic could be seen when the kids
were playing street hockey. We have sweet memories of hearing call
out of “car” and then seeing kids pull the nets to the side of the road.
Our house is walking distance to a large storm pond. This HUGE
green space is home to a tiny tots playground, a gentle slope for
sledding, a place to feed the ducks and throw pebbles into the water.
It is an all season space just moments away!
Our home boasts of a large yard. In the winter, we flooded the
backyard for the kids when they were just learning to skate. In the
summer, the kids could play safely inside a fully fenced in backyard.
The addition of a hot tub made the backyard a great place to relax
and view the northern lights. Have you noticed the large garden in
the backyard? Nothing beats the taste of fresh vegetables. Over the
years, we were lucky enough to enjoy lettuce, onions, corn, zucchini,
green beans, peas, pumpkins, watermelon, cabbage and cucumbers.
Since 1990, we have tried to make our home comfortable and ensure
it was well maintained. We have added a bathroom downstairs and
upgraded the bathrooms upstairs. We, absolutely, love the oak
hardwood floors. We added in floor heating in the kitchen and
bathrooms for those cold winter days. The new windows and siding
really helped make the house warmer and quieter. Installation of a
high efficiency furnace and AC was a real game changer! No more
fighting for the basement bedroom during those hot summer nights!
We have tried to keep up with regular maintenance and painting to
make this a home to be proud of and one to call home!
