Before becoming a Realtor, Julio Florez served as a police officer in Colombia and as a United Nations peacekeeper in Cambodia. Those experiences shaped the values that continue to define his real estate career today: integrity, dedication, and a commitment to helping others.

Since 2005, Julio has guided more than a thousand clients through some of life's biggest transitions. His achievements include being honoured as Royal LePage's Agent of the Year in Canada, but his greatest reward remains the relationships he has built and the trust his clients place in him.

About Julio Florez

My clients are always surprised to learn that, before moving to Canada, I trained as a police officer in Colombia and served as a United Nations peacekeeper in Cambodia. In 2005, I found my true calling as a professional Realtor, and in 2012, qualified as an Associate Broker. For 16 years, I helped over a thousand clients find or sell their homes in the dynamic and challenging Fort McMurray real estate market, Year after year, I was honoured to earn top awards for sales and service, including Agent of the Year in Canada for Royal LePage. In 2021, I moved my practice to the beautiful city of Calgary to be closer to family, and to continue in the profession I love; assisting clients with the important decision to buy or sell a home.

Serving my community and industry are also important to me, and I've served on the boards of directors for the Fort McMurray Real Estate Board, the Alberta Real Estate Association and the Northern Lights Health Foundation. Growing up in a large extended family with a strong mother and sisters, I learned the value of family. This inspired me to volunteer with the Royal LePage Foundation; a foundation that supports women's shelters and programs for survivors of domestic and sexual violence. I've trekked Machu Pichu, Peru, the volcanos of Iceland and the deserts of Morocco to raise funds for the Foundation. It's given me joy to provide time and financial support to many charities and non-profits working with young athletes, musicians and the arts. Each February, I combine my passion for fitness to bring awareness to the importance of mental health, and organize a 12-hour walk in memory of my son Benjamin.
